Archana Tiwari’s Professional Profile

Archana Tiwari has been serving electronic media since more than six years. She is among the known faces of zee news’ anchors squad. Archana is doing prime time shows and interviews with many big names of different fields. Discussions with senior BJP leader L.K. Advani, Narendra Modi and other leaders from different political parties, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev, Bolywood Stars like Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukon, Sunidhi Chauhan etc. are the noticeable interviews and discussions. Archana Tiwari has started her career with E TV, Hyderabad and then move to Delhi by joining S1 news channel. In 2005 she joined Zee News and still associated with first 24 hour Indian News Channel. She is a science graduate and after graduating from Maths she has done her M. Sc. in Mass Communication.

Personal Life

Archana Tiwari’s maiden name is Archana Kharkwal. She was born in a beautiful town Tanakpur of Uttranchal (now Uttrakhand). Tanakpur is known for its natural beauty. Dense forest, Sharda River which is also known as Kali Ganga, hill views and Shakti Peeth Purnagiri Dham, are the key identity of this town. After 12th she went to Pithhoragarh for her graduation. After graduating in mathematics she moved to Lucknow for doing her M.Sc. in mass communication. She’s married to Dr. Praveen Tiwari, himself a media man and presently working with Live India news channel. Archana has given birth to a baby boy Chaitanya Tiwari in 2009.

She has attended and contributed in many national level seminars. In which National level seminar on “Bio Diversity” at Lucknow University and National level seminar on “Women Empowerment” at Mass Communication Department of Lucknow University. Archana writes regularly for different news papers and websites. She was the Regular contributor on Lucknow city column of Hindustan Times and Indian Express during her post graduation from Lucknow University.

Responsibilities

Over the years she has acquired in-depth understanding and experience about the management of a News Network in terms of: Preparation of News Bulletins (Editorial & Production) - including prime time bulletins and specials, Broadcasting and Production requirements of LIVE situations / events, LIVE News Anchoring including breaking news, panel discussions during the news, phone-ins and hot switches, Preparation of News Reports / Capsules (Content & Production) and Current Affairs Programming (Editorial & Production). She has also contributed as a copy editor and copy writer along with her anchoring and editorial responsibilities.
